Foreign citizens will be able to leave Gaza Strip through border with Egypt soon

Jerusalem: Foreign citizens will be able to leave the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint on the border with Egypt in the near future, the Al-Arabiya broadcaster reported on Saturday, citing sources.

Earlier in the day, the news outlet reported that the first trucks with humanitarian aid started entering the Palestinian exclave through the border crossing.

On October 7, Hamas launched a surprise large-scale rocket attack against Israel from the Gaza Strip and breached the border, killing and abducting people in neighbouring Israeli communities.

Israel launched retaliatory strikes and ordered a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip, home to more than two million people, cutting off supplies of water, food, and fuel.

Thousands of deaths and injuries have been reported on both sides as a result of the escalation.
