Foreign Secretary Kwatra on three-day visit to Mauritius

New Delhi/Port Louis: Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra arrived in Mauritius on a three-day visit during which the entire gamut of bilateral ties would be reviewed.

The Indian High Commission in a tweet said:

“Arrival of Foreign Secretary Shri Vinay Kwatra in Mauritius for a 3-day visit from 12-14 April 2023.

“Opportunity to review the entire gamut of India-Mauritius bilateral relations.”

In January last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Mauritian counterpart Pravind Jugnauth had jointly inaugurated an India-assisted social housing project in Mauritius virtually. They had also inaugurated a Civil Service College and an 8MW Solar PV Farm project in the Indian Ocean island nation.

The Mauritian PM had visited India in April last year on an eight-day trip, accompanied by a high-level delegation. Besides holding talks in New Delhi, he had also visited Gujarat and Varanasi.

Coincidentally, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is also visiting the eastern part of Africa currently, Uganda and Mozambique.
