On Tuesday, one terrorist was killed, one Army jawan was martyred, and three security personnel, including a Special Police Officer, sustained injuries in the ensuing operation.
One Army dog also sacrificed her life while protecting her handler.
“The holed-up terrorists are believed to be two to three, and the area is cordoned off,” said a senior police official.
He said an intermittent exchange of fire is on, adding, “More details are awaited.”
