I do not trust Dr Tedros, I do not trust WHO

From the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, GoaChronicle has been persistent in our investigations to know the truth.

Let me state this as bluntly and as a crudely as possible. Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is a puppet of China and a bidder for pharmaceutical companies eyeing a considerable share of the vaccine market.

I have said it before, Dr Tedros is a politician. He was a politician before and he will aways be a politician.

He believes in political alliance to spearhead his personal agenda. He has found that political alliance in China.

China backed him to his position as the Director General of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

This is the inaptitude of Director-General of the WHO that when he was conned by a 14-year old Ethiopian-origin girl living and studying in Australia when he was a foreign minister. The adolescent claimed that she won 20 million Australian dollars from the Australian government and the Rotary Club of Australia at a student competition held at her college in Melbourne. The girl wanted to donate the money to build schools in Ethiopia. The foreign minister Dr Tedros, organised a press conference praising the girl for being an exemplary philanthropist. The truth however was embarrassing. The teenage girl never won any competition because neither did the Australian government nor Rotary Club of Australia ever offer such prize money and neither did her college the Baden Powell College organise such a competition.

The inaptitude is evident even now that Dr Tedros and his entire team at the WHO believed a US-firm Surgisphere on its sudden decision to drop hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) for the global study into COVID-19 treatments. This study was published in the Lancet. The WHO accepted the study in a matter of three-days. The interesting part of the study is that it was written by a firm who had an employee who was a science fiction writer and another an adult content model. Then when the truth about the questionable firm and its study was brought to light, Dr Tedros resumed the HCQ global study.

The mere fact that colleagues of his in the WHO continues to back this questionable character like Dr Tedros only exposes the simple truth that the WHO is also an indication the WHO is an organisation riddled with people with no real empathy for the world or its people.

Dr Tedros and the WHO have been making flip-flop after flip-flop on their guidance to global nations. First on the delay of seven days in declaring it a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC). Then came the categorising COVID-19 as a global pandemic for which it took another six weeks after declaring it as a PHEIC.

Initially the WHO stipulated a guideline for masks and who should be wearing the masks. After several weeks of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic across the world, it changes its stipulated guidelines to now recommend more wearing masks.

Then the WHO states recently that asymptomatic patients need no isolation because asymptomatic transmission of coronavirus is very rare.

Maria Van Kerkhove, Technical Lead on COVID-19, WHO Health Emergencies Programme had said in a press conference in Geneva recently that it seems to be very rare that an asymptomatic person actually transmits onward to a secondary individual. Kerkhove continued her claim on Twitter.

Following a serious backlash and questioning from concerned people across the world on this statement on asymptomatic patients, more so after the Harvard University criticised the scientists at the WHO, the global health organisation decided to do another retraction on its view on asymptomatic patients like it did on the HCQ.

Harvard’s Global Health Institute said research shows people without COVID-19 symptoms are spreading the disease and that ‘the WHO is creating confusion by suggesting otherwise.’  The WHO’s comment was based on ‘evidence from member states’ that has not yet been shared with the scientific community.

Let’s take a look at the behaviour and statement of Dr Tedros and the WHO, when nations wanted to restrict travel to and from China at the onset of the coronavirus when the WHO has declared the novel coronavirus as a PHEIC.  Dr Tedros had stated that the vast majority of cases outside China have a travel history to Wuhan, or contact with someone with a travel history to Wuhan. Yet he chose to chastise nations who opted for travel restriction to and from China. Dr Tedros stated, “If anyone is thinking about taking measures, it’s going to be wrong. And WHO doesn’t recommend, and actually opposes, any restrictions for travel and trade or other measures against China.”

Even on the lockdown, the WHO was flip-flopping on the issue with no clear strategy or advice to nations.

Dr Tedros and the WHO will continue to do many more flip-flops. It is dangerous if nations are going to put their trust in the WHO to plan its strategies in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

I would advice nations and people around the world to take the guidelines and advices of the WHO will not only a pinch of salt but a whole gunny bag because it appears that they have no idea about the nature of the virus, their studied alter as per expose of their inaccurate health strategies or when their health strategies are questioned.

I do not trust Dr Tedros and I do not trust the WHO.
