On Friday, September 29, ISKCON said that it has sent a 100-cr defamation notice to BJP MP Maneka Gandhi for questioning the religious organization over the upkeep of cows in its gaushalas, calling ISKCON ‘the biggest cheat’ in the country, alleging that it sells the cows to butchers and there is no one happy cow in the gaushalas.

In a statement, ISKCON Vice-President, Radharaman Das, said, ‘Today, we have sent a 100-cr defamation notice to Maneka Gandhi for levelling completely unfounded allegations against ISKCON.’

Calling the BJP MP’s accusations ‘malicious’, Das further expressed that the worldwide community of ISKCON devotees, supporters, and well-wishers are deeply pained by the allegations.
