The Jaipur police have registered an FIR against 6 people, including Hindu political activist and VHP member, Sadhvi Prachi, in the Vidhyadhar Nagar police station, for allegedly delivering ‘hate speech’ after a screening of the controversial movie, ‘The Kerala Story’. It is to be noted that the FIR was filed not because a commoner made an official complaint, but on a report of the police station ASI, Madan Lal himself.

The report states that on 14th May, in Jaipur’s Time Square Mall, the movie was screened in the morning. The tickets for the morning show were booked by Keshav Arora, Ashish Soni, and Vijendra, who had taken the audience to watch the movie along with them. Sadhvi Prachi and Hindu Yuva Vahini’s Bharat Sharma were also present during the screening. The ASI’s report further added that the speech which Sadhvi Prachi delivered after the movie ended was full of ‘hate speech’ and hurt the religious sentiments of the Muslim community.

A video of the speech has gone viral on social media and after the same happened, the police registered the FIR revolving around sections of the IT Act and hurting religious sentiments, and have started looking into the matter.

Reacting to the FIR filed against her, Sadhvi Prachi said, “I do not have a problem with the action taken against me, I am not scared of cases filed against me. But whatever is being done by the Rajasthan Congress government led by Ashok Gehlot, be it the demolition of settlements of Hindu migrants from Pakistan, or such cases being filed, is nothing but Muslim appeasement”.
