J&K: Officer among 4 army personnel martyred in Doda gunfight

Jammu: An officer among four army personnel were martyred in an ensuing gunfight in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The gunfight broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Desa Forest area on Monday evening.

“In exchange of fire, four army personnel, including one officer, were martyred,” official sources said.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed deep anguish over the attack on Army soldiers and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel in the Doda district on Tuesday.

“I am deeply anguished to learn about the cowardly attack on our Army soldiers and JKP personnel in Doda district. Tributes to brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice protecting our nation. My deepest condolences to members of the bereaved families,” LG Sinha posted on X.
