Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday evening claimed to have arrested an active hybrid terrorists of Lashkar e Toiba terrorist organization along with arms and ammunition in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official told that a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army’s 22 RR and CRPF 179 BN during a Naka arrested an active hybrid terrorists at Shangergund in the Jurisdiction of Police Station Sopore.
He said, that they recovered Incriminating material including 01 pistol, 01 magazine and 08 pistol rounds were recovered from his possession.
Official however, identified the arrested terrorist as Saqib Shakeel Dar son of Shakeel Ahmad Dar of Mumkak Batpora A/P Checki Brath in Sopore.
Meanwhile, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Sopore and further investigation is going on, official added.
