New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor is not my headmaster who checks my homework, I am the representative of the people who have elected me as Delhi Chief Minister, said Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi Assembly on Tuesday.

Addressing the House, Kejriwal said, “We want to send teachers to Finland for teachers’ training program but LG returned the file twice with objections. This shows he doesn’t want to send teachers for training in Finland.”

“I want to give the same education to the children of Delhi as I gave to my children. We sent over 1000 teachers for training abroad. CM-Education Minister said if teachers go to Finland then it should be final but all the files are going to LG,” he said.

Kejriwal further said, “Time is very powerful, nothing is permanent in this world. If anyone thinks that his government would run forever it is not possible. Today, our government in Delhi and their LG and they are in Centre but nobody knows, maybe tomorrow our government will be at the Centre, our LG. We would not do what they are doing.”

“In the British era, Viceroy used to say you Indians don’t know how to govern! Today, LG is using the same language and saying, “you dilliwalas don’t know how to govern!” Kejriwal said.

“I asked LG in which law it is written that you can do Cost-Benefit Analysis? There was no answer. I again asked him how the Aldermen were appointed?, he said I am Administrator,” he claimed.

AAP leader and MLA Atishi said in the House, “BJP is against good education of poor children. It wants children to study in WhatsApp University. We have increased the budget for teacher training in Delhi. Teachers are sent for training in countries like Finland-Singapore. This benefited 18 lakh children.”
