Bulandshahr: The main accused in the triple murder case that took place on April 25 in Khurja’s Subhash Marg area, identified as Jitu Saini, died during treatment after being injured in a police encounter early Thursday morning near Sikandarpur village.
According to police reports, Jitu Saini sustained two bullet injuries during the encounter and was initially taken to Jatiya Hospital.
Due to his critical condition, he was later referred to the District Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
During the exchange of fire, SWAT team in-charge Mohammad Aslam and constable Mohit Malik also sustained gunshot injuries. Both are currently undergoing treatment at Jatiya Hospital.
The incident is linked to a triple murder that occurred during a birthday party at a gym on Subhash Marg, where three youths were shot dead. Police officials confirmed that several of the accused had prior criminal records and had previously been jailed.
Earlier this week, two other accused in the case—Rinku Saini alias Rinkesh and Bharat Saini, both carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 each—were injured and arrested following a late-night encounter with the police. The confrontation occurred near Mundakheda canal when the accused allegedly attempted to flee and opened fire while leading police to recover evidence, including a CCTV DVR and hidden weapons.
Police recovered an illegal pistol, a country-made firearm, and cartridges from the suspects, along with crucial CCTV footage equipment from the crime scene.
Circle Officer Shobhit Kumar stated that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining accused, identified as Ravi Saini, Manish, Anuj, Saurabh alias Sintu, and Sonu. Multiple police teams have been deployed across Delhi-NCR, including parts of Delhi and Haryana, to track them down.
Authorities are also interrogating relatives of the absconding suspects and investigating connections with individuals in Meerut and Haryana who were reportedly in contact with Jitu Saini.
