In Britain, the male drivers are more irresponsible as compared to the female ones, and are involved in 3 times the accidents in comparison to the ladies. In situations where males are the drivers, the pedestrians get severely injured. In the last 10 years, the chances of an accident taking place because of a male driver have also augmented at a fast pace. In its study of official government data, The Guardian discovered that between 2020 and 2021, 4363 male drivers injured pedestrians in Britain.

On the other hand, female drivers were involved in 1473 of the accidents. In 2010, the probability of a male driver hitting a pedestrian was 2.2 times, which, during the first six months of 2021, increased to 2.8 times. Not only this, but 33% probability of pedestrians falling prey to a road accident emerges when a male is driving the car. On the other hand, this probability with female drivers is 28%.

As per Britain’s data of 2021, 1 out of every 4 pedestrians involved in a road accident lost their life due to being hit by a van, truck, or bus. Those who lost their lives in road accidents, including drivers, 78% were males. It was also found out in a survey from 2020 that males drive their cars 3 times faster than the set speed limit, as compared to women. 30% of male drivers confessed that they were driving at a higher speed than the set limit of 100 miles per hour.
