Militants shot dead a minority community member in Pulwama

Srinagar: Militants on Sunday shot dead a minority community member in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said.

Police said militants fired upon one civilian from a minority community identified as Sanjay Sharma’s son of Kashinath Sharma, a resident of Achan Pulwama this morning when he was on way to a local market.

“The injured was shifted to hospital however, he succumbed to his injuries”, police said.

Meanwhile the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

“Terrorists fired upon one civilian from minority namely Sanjay Sharma S/O Kashinath Sharma R/O Achan Pulwama while on way to local market. He was shifted to hospital however, he succumbed to injuries. There was Armed guard in his village. Area cordoned off. Details shall follow”, a police tweet said..
