Mumbai alert after threat message of serial blast

Mumbai: The Mumbai Police was on alert and launched a search operation on Friday after its control room received a message saying bombs were placed across the city.

Mumbai police control room this morning received a threat message from an unknown person stating that explosives were placed at six locations in the city, following which we have launched search operations, police said.

Meanwhile, the cyber cell of the city police and crime branch are jointly making efforts to trace the person who sent the message, sources added.

The security of sensitive places increased following this message.
