Mumbai: NCP working president and Baramati MP Supriya Sule on Thursday expressed anger over the incident of a 20-year-old girl being molested in a running local on
the Harbor route in Mumbai .

Sule in her tweet stated that the issue of safety of women travelling by “local train ” has come to the fore once again.

The incident is said to have taken place in the second class women’s compartment.

The incident took place in a local train going to Panvel from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT).

It has also targeted the Shinde-Fadnavis government. “Once again the issue of security of Mumbai local has come forward. In Maharashtra, criminals are no longer afraid of the law, but the reason for this is the inaction of the home department,” she tweeted.

It is necessary for the investigating agencies to take action so that the accused in this heinous incident is punished severely, added Sule.
