During the discussion on Motion of Thanks on President’ address, Akhilesh Yadav pledged to discontinue the use of EVMs in elections whenever the INDIA bloc government is formed. This move is part of the bloc’s plans to reform the electoral process and address unemployment.
Calling for a caste census, the SP leader also attacked the government for its failure to address unemployment and said the Agniveer Scheme for military recruitment would also be axed once the INDIA bloc comes to power.
