Rs 1.3 Cr. worth mobile phones stolen

Kurnool: Two drivers of a truck have stolen mobile phones worth Rs 1.3 crore while being transported in a container truck at Obulapuram Mitta village near Dhone town in the district in AP.

Though the incident took place on September 11, it came to light on Saturday. Police said that Rs 1.3 crore worth mobile phones were being transported from Haryana to Bangalore in a container truck.

The two drivers of the container truck stopped the vehicle at Obulapuram Mitta village on the road side. Later they unloaded the mobile phones from the truck and loaded them into another truck and fled.

The container truck owner got the information about the empty truck. He lodged a complaint with the Dhone police. The police teams examined the CCTV footage of the area. The police formed special teams and sent them to Haryana to arrest the drivers of the container truck.
