SC transfers FIRs against Jindal to Delhi Police

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday directed all that FIRs against expelled BJP spokesperson Naveen Kumar Jindal over his remarks against Prophet Mohammed to be transferred to the Delhi Police.

“No precipitative action or FIRs (First Information Report) against the accused for 8 weeks so he can approach the Delhi High Court,” a Supreme Court Bench headed by Justice M R Shah and also comprising Justice M M Sundresh said.

The expelled 53-year-old Jindal had moved the Supreme Court seeking a direction to quash all the FIRs registered against him in different states
