Hyderabad: South Central Railway on behalf of Indian Railways earnestly appealed to the general public as not to indulge in anti social activities which cause the damage or loss to the national property.

“It is requested in the national interest to restrain from such activities and protect public properties.

This appeal has been made after taking into account the recent incidents of Stone Pelting on Vande Bharat Express Trains and other such incidents,” SCR statement said on Tuesday.

Indian Railways is one of the premier organizations of the country, serving the people of India since 160 years and contributing to the progress of the nation.

It is connecting every nook and corner of the Nation, providing safe and economical transportation to millions of passengers.

Even during the peak Covid-19 Pandemic and when the entire country is in the clutches of Lockdown, Indian Railways has operated train services round the clock, transporting public and essential goods to balance the supply chain and has ensured that there is availability of essential goods across the nation.

But, recently, some stray incidents of stone pelting have happened here and there, causing damage to the train services.

These type of acts will not only cause inconvenience to general public, but also incur a dent on public purse as trains and Railway stations are public property and the damages has to be attended with public money.

In this regard, South Central Railway earnestly requests and appeals to each and everyone not to cause damage to Railway property by way of stone pelting and such type of activities.

The co-operation of general public as well as rail users is highly solicited so as to ensure a safe and hassle-free rail travel to the rail passengers, the statement added
