Sensex falls over 100 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday lost further by 123.31 points at 71,191.88 in the opening session as selling was seen across the board.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) declined 47.05 points to 21,371.60.

The Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 71,569.20 and 71,071.98 points, respectively.

The Nifty recorded intraday highs and lows at 21,480 and 21,337.75 points, respectively.

The Mid Cap eased 0.66 pc, while the Small Cap rose by 0.4 pc.

In 30 scrips, 11 advanced while 19 declined.

The losers were Wipro by 1.63 pc to Rs 437.70, Tech Mahindra by 1.45 pc to Rs 1272.75, Bajaj Finserv by 1.36 pc to Rs 1700.35, and HCL Technology by 1.31 pc to Rs 1484.60.

The gainers were Nestle India Ltd. by 2.56 p.c. to Rs 24979, ITC by 0.83 p.c. to Rs 455.40, Axis Bank by 0.33 p.c. to Rs 1121.10, and L&T by 0.80 p.c. to Rs 3517.
