New Delhi: Veteran producer Anand Pandit has always put cinema and storytelling first.

He recently released the first teaser of the highly anticipated film ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’. The film aims to bring Savarkar’s inspiring life and contributions to the forefront, featuring acclaimed actor Randeep Hooda in the dual roles of the titular character and director.

Speaking about his decision to back ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar,’ Pandit expressed his deep admiration for historic films that highlight different leaders and eras of India’s freedom struggle. He emphasized the need to portray Savarkar’s story on a grand scale, as it has not been adequately showcased before.

Pandit said in a statement, “History is always a perspective. Having said that, we are a vibrant democracy where different portrayals can co-exist beautifully. Cinema is an exceptional medium to tell a story. We are a country of a billion stories, and I want the films I am associated with to be a rich mix of that diversity. ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’ aims to depict the journey of Veer Savarkar, highlighting his unwavering dedication to the nation and his pivotal role in India’s struggle for independence. The film is set to captivate audiences with its compelling narrative, stellar performances, and grand cinematic experience.”

Through ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar,’ Pandit envisions a cinematic masterpiece on India’s freedom struggle.

‘Swantantra Veer Savarkar’ is produced by Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, Randeep Hooda, Sam Khan, and Yogesh Rahar, and the film is slated to release in cinemas this year.
