Taxi runs into pedestrians in New York, 6 injured: Reports

Washington: At least six pedestrians were injured after a taxi ran into a group of people outside New York’s Macy’s department store on Christmas Day, FOX 5 New York reported on Thursday.

A yellow taxi drove off the road and into the bystanders, the broadcaster said, adding the incident occurred just after 16:00 local time, Wednesday [19:00 GMT]

One victim with serious but non-life-threatening injuries was delivered to Cornell Hospital while two others with injuries of similar degree were transferred to Bellevue, the broadcaster said. Three remaining victims sustained minor injuries.

The cause for the incident is reportedly being looked into.
