Hyderabad: The All India Industrial Exhibition, popularly known as ‘ Numaish’, will be held here from January 3 instead of January 1.

The decision to defer the formal inauguration of Numaish was taken in view of the seven day national mourning declared by the union government after the passing away of former Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Sing, according to Exhibition Society Secretary, B Surender Reddy.

All necessary arrangements have been made for the mega 45 day event, he said.

Traders from across the country are participating in the event and exhibiting their merchandise.

The Numaish is being held for the last 85 years in the city and attracts lakhs of visitors during the 45 day period.

Around 2000 stalls are set up at the Numaish grounds located at Nampally Road, he added.
