Terrorists shot dead a Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch in Anantnag

Srinagar: Terrorists shot dead 35-year-old Sarpanch Ajay Pandita Bharti of the Kashmiri Pandit community in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday afternoon. 

Official sources told GoaChronicle that the Congress Sarpanch was fired upon by the terrorists near Lokbawan Larkipora. 

Sources in Kashmir inform that Ajay Pandita was targeted because he was distributing domicile certificates.

Ajay Pandita’s family at the hospital told certain sections of the media that Pakistanis backed terrorists are responsible for the attack and that they should be hunted down. But more importantly they laid emphasis on the plight of the Hindus in Kashmir who continue to face persecution as minorities.

Pandita was rushed to GMC Annatnag where he was declared brought dead. 

The area has been cordoned off the police and armed forces. Efforts on the nab the terrorists.
