Truck driver held with heroin in J&K’s Udhampur

Jammu: Police on Sunday arrested a truck driver with contraband of heroin in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh said that this morning during naka checking at Zero Point Chenani, a truck on way from Kashmir towards Udhampur was intercepted by the police team.

When frisked, 18 packets of Heroin weighing 21.5 kg (including packaging weight) was recovered from the possession of the driver identified as Kulwinder Singh, resident of Nawansher, Punjab and he was detained on the spot, he said.
