Moscow: UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Moscow on Sunday for an official visit, a Sputnik correspondent reported.
The UAE leader drove through the streets of the Russian capital in a black Russian-made Aurus car, accompanied by a motorcycle escort.
Later in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Al Nahyan are expected to have a dinner in the presidential residence of Novo-Ogaryovo near Moscow to discuss current issues in an informal setting.
Official negotiations are scheduled for Monday, where the leaders will discuss the state and prospects of multifaceted Russia-UAE cooperation. They will also address pressing international issues, including the situation in the Middle East and North Africa.
The UAE president will also participate in the BRICS summit, which will take place in Russia’s Kazan from October 22-24.
Al Nahyan last visited Russia in June 2023, when he and Putin met on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
