Moradabad (UP): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday asserted that Uttar Pradesh’s transformation into a safe and riot-free state will turn it into the country’s leading economy and said that the state has no place for crime and for miscreants, the state is only towards progress.

Addressing the Prabuddh Jan Sammelan along with launching around 30 development projects worth Rs 424 crores in Moradabad, Yogi said, “As a result of the presence of a safe atmosphere the brass city is scaling new heights today. The talented and skilled craftsmen are giving recognition to the country. Bharatiya Janata Party’s arrival in 2017 has given appropriate encouragement to the potential of the region for it to prosper.”

He said that Moradabad is excelling in terms of business by reaching Rs 25,000 crores in domestic and global markets. “Rule of law has been established in Moradabad to provide security to traders, women, youth and the common man,” he said.

The CM pointed out that 37,000 poor people have benefitted from the Pradhan Mantri and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana in Moradabad. “Loans have been given to vendors under Pradhan Mantri SVAnidhi Yojana,” he said.

Slamming the Samajwadi Party (SP), Yogi said, “The brass business of Moradabad was on the verge of closure during SP’s regime. SP did not take any initiatives for it. After the formation of the BJP government the CNG and PNG were delivered for proper operation of furnaces. Moradabad’s business has reached exports worth Rs 14,000 to 15,000 crores due to CNG-powered furnaces.”

Emphasising all-round development of the state, the CM said, “The double engine government has to be converted into a triple engine government for the schemes to benefit people properly.”

He called upon the intellectuals to contribute maximum towards the success of the upcoming Global Investors Summit in February to fulfil the vision of turning the state into a 1 trillion dollar economy.
