The Braveheart of Maa Bharti, who put in ruins the Pakistani F-16 Aircraft, now Group Captain Mr. Abhinandan Vardhaman was commanded the respect of the ‘Vir Chakra’ this Monday by the President of India Ramnath Kovind.
The house of Parliament was set ablaze when the Group Captain got awarded one of the Prime awards of the nation. The then Wing Commander Abhinandan Vardhaman flopped the inhuman intension of the Pakistani army and collapsed their F-16 aircraft back in 2019.
After the Pulwama attack, India carried out an airstrike on a terrorist camp in Balakot, Pakistan. Umpteen terrorists were killed in the airstrike and their hideouts were blown out. India retaliated to the Pakistan fighter jets that tried to penetrate the Indian territories and Abhinandan Vardhman was one among the valiant hearts who combated against the fighter aircraft with great valor.
The incident dates back to a suicide attack that was executed on a CRPF group on February 14, 2019, in Pulwama, Kashmir which tragically claimed the lives of 40 brave soldiers of ours. The terrorist group Masood Azhar’s organization claimed the responsibility for the attack following which India launched an airstrike 12 days later on February 26 in Balakot, Pakistan. On February 27, a couple of Pakistani fighter jets F-16 were spotted in Indian territories with an ill intention of attacking Indian military bases in Kashmir. Pakistani jets tried to infiltrate and pounce on the Indian airspace but failed to do the cowardly act against the Indian Air Force. India’s MiG-21 and Mirage 2000 fighter jets avenged vigorously against Pakistan. During which, Abhinandan; the pilot of MiG-21 shot down a Pakistani plane in combat. Meanwhile, the Indian plane got crashed into the PoK and the Pakistani troops intercepted our lionheart; Abhinandan who later was released by the Pakistani force on March 1 under a well-devised strategy of the Indian government.
The valiant son of Ma Bharti was rewarded the bravery awards of the nation ‘Vir Chakra’ for his sheer valor. Here are some insights from the felicitation ceremony.
