Youth returning from court appearance shot in broad daylight in Rajasthan’s Baran

On Friday afternoon at around 2.15 PM, in Rajasthan’s Baran, a youth, who was returning from his court appearance was shot near the city’s Kota Road over-bridge. The seriously injured victim was admitted to the Shaheed Rajmahal Meena District Hospital, from where he was referred to a private hospital. On the other hand, the assailants who were riding a bike are absconding.

ASP Jinendra Jain reached the hospital and took stock of the incident after having a word with the attack victim. The police have started investigating the matter on the basis of the victim’s statement. ASI Suryakant Sharma said that the injured victim, Rohit Nagar, stated that he had gone to the court for an appearance along with his accomplice, Bittu Sharma, and they were returning at around 2.15 PM, on a bike, and that was when the riders, who were following them, opened fire on them near the Kota Road over-bridge, and a bullet hit Rohit near his hip bone.

The assailants then ran away. With the help of the other people on the road, an injured Rohit was taken to the hospital, from where he was referred to a private one.
