2.5 magnitude earthquake jolts Mandi district

Shimla: A mild intensity earthquake was recorded in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh early on Monday.

The quake, measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale, struck at 0:42 am, according to the Spokesperson of State Disaster management Authority .

The epicenter was near DPF Bairkot near Sundernagar and 12 km South West of Mandi town at latitude of 31.52 North and Longitude of 76.80 East and 3.3 kilometers depth.

No loss of life or damage to property was reported.
