31 killed in Thailand mass shooting

Bangkok: At least 31 people, including children, were killed in a mass shooting at a childcare center in northeast Thailand’s Nong Bua Lamphu province on Thursday, the police told Xinhua.

TV footage showed ambulances and families of the victims gathering outside the childcare center.

The attacker, reportedly a former police officer, later killed himself, said the police.

A majority of the victims have been children at the center, according to the Thai newspaper Matichon.
