Students made to clean toilets in UP, probe ordered

Ballia (UP): An inquiry has been ordered after a video of students of a primary school, run by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department, were seen cleaning a toilet, official sources said here on Thursday.

The video has gone viral on social media

Official sources said in the viral video students could be seen cleaning the toilet carrying a bucket of water.

In the video a man can be seen giving instructions to the students to clean the toilet.

He is even seen threatening the students will be locked in that very toilet if they did not clean it.

Block Education Officer (Headquarter) AK Jha said the video is being said to be of primary school Pipara Kala number 1 in Sohaon development block.

“An inquiry is being conducted by the BEO Sohaon and further action will be taken on the basis of his report,” he said.
