India records 3805 Covid cases in last 24 hours

New Delhi: India recorded 3805 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally of active caseload to 38,293, as per the Health Ministry data on Saturday.

As many as 13 fresh fatalities were also recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the total death count in the country, as a result of coronavirus, to 528655.

Meanwhile, 5,069 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, increasing the total recoveries to 4,40,24 164 whereas the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.73 percent.

On the vaccination front, the government has been continuously speeding up the vaccination drive across the country.

According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry on Saturday, 89.53 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 2,95, 416 tests have been conducted.

“India has administered 217.68 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine (94.86 crore Second Dose and 21.33 crore Precaution Dose) so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said.

More than 203.45 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far.

Over 2.27 crore balance and unutilised Covid vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, the ministry said.
