Rahul visits temple, mosque

Mysuru: In the last two days, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has visited a temple and a mosque during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Mysuru district.

On Monday, the Gandhi scion visited the Chamundeshwari temple atop Chamundi Hills. It was Day 3 of the yatra. The Goddess is the presiding deity of the city.

Gandhi also visited Suttur Mutt, the Masjid-e-Azam and the St Philomena’s Cathedral in the city. At Suttur Mutt, Gandhi met Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamiji, a prominent Lingayat seer.

The yatra will traverse parts of Karnataka for over 21 days, covering 511 km.
