Chinese Communist Party gives crucial responsibilities to retired leaders

The Chinese government wants to gag all of those mouths which speak against it, no matter whether it is a youth or a retired party leader. For this, the Communist Party has taken a new step. The government is all set to identify all the retired leaders and give them crucial responsibilities so that they remain on its side. The Chinese Communist Party’s conference is to be held on 16th October. Before this, Chinese President Xi Jinping has stopped retired leaders of the party from giving negative political speeches.

Along with this, a group of retired leaders has been made, and they have been given important responsibilities of strengthening the party further. The 105-year-old Song Ping, who is considered to be Jinping’s rival, has been made the head of the Politburo standing committee members. With this, nobody will speak against Jinping and this will lead to him gaining support for his third consecutive tenure. With which, he will become the first person to gain this support after the party’s founder, Mao Tse Tung’s death in 1976.

Additionally, the old leaders related to the party have the rights to access confidential documents. 96-year-old Jiang Zemin had left the post of being a party leader back in 2002, but continued to be the military chief till 2004, and continued to pull the strings of politics from behind the curtains. Apart from him, 57 old leaders had access to confidential documents and controlling the military.
