Tourists return to European cities, 1 crore in Paris in 3 months

Tourist footfall in Europe is now increasing after the pandemic. A large number of tourists are reaching the cities of Europe which are renowned tourist spots across the globe. The tourists’ favourite European city, Paris, witnessed the coming of more than 1 crore tourists during three months of June to August. As per the statistics of the influx of tourists, Germany’s capital Berlin is on the second spot. Around 55 lakh visitors reached the city till August 2022. But this number is 30% less than 2019.

Nevertheless, Berlin’s tour operators believe that during the upcoming festive season, more tourists will be seen coming to the city. On the third spot is Czech Republic’s capital, Prague. Here, around 13 lakh tourists were reported to have come till August 2022.

England’s capital London, which the most renowned on the global map as far as tourism is concerned, is expecting 2.7 crore tourists this year, and special offers are being given for Christmas and New Year celebrations. As per the British Tourism Council, this is 65% of the tourist footfall witnessed prior to the pandemic hitting the globe. But the increasing numbers of tourists is a positive sign of the world getting back to normal.
