In Rajasthan’s Tonk, a youth was mercilessly tortured because of simply living with his girlfriend. The girl’s family made the youth and his sister wear a garland made out of shoes and slippers, the youth was forced to drink urine, his nose was burned using hot tongs, and the torture video was uploaded on social media. The victim has filed a complaint against the girl’s parents and 8 others.

Malpura ASP Rakesh Kumar Bairwa said that the victim, Kalu Mogya (28), lived with his son and daughter after his wife left him 2 years ago. And for some days, Kalu and his girlfriend lived in Ajmer’s Kekdi, and after Diwali, the girl’s family members took her along. On Monday, a meeting of the Mogya Panches took place, in which was present, Kalu’s 26-yeard-old sister. The headmen decided that Kalu would have to pay 93 thousand rupees to the girl’s father and could take her along with him, and they left. After this, both Kalu and his sister went away to reach the bus stand on foot, which was 500-metres away.

While they were on their way to the bus stand, the girl’s relatives picked them up and took them to the jungle, and this was where they were held hostage for the whole night and were tortured. As per Kalu, he was forced to write on a stamp paper that he would not file a complaint, or else, he would have to pay a penalty of 5.51 lakh rupees.
