Nitish directs for execution of schemes within stipulated time frame

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday directed the authorities concerned to ensure the execution of all schemes and projects within the stipulated time frame at any cost.

Kumar while making a review of various ongoing schemes during the meeting of Bihar Vikas Mission, said that all schemes should be completed within the stipulated time frame.

If more personnel were required for the purpose, appointments should be made accordingly to ensure the completion of schemes on time, he added.

” A vast network of infrastructures like roads, bridges, buildings, flyovers have come up in Bihar since 2005 when I came to power in the state”, Chief Minister said, adding that maintenance of infrastructures should be done properly.

The budget size of Bihar had increased from Rs 24,000 crores to more than Rs two lakh crores in the last 17 years, he further added.

“Income of people has increased considerably in last 17 years while trade activities also got momentum in Bihar”, Kumar said, adding that care should be taken to keep a close watch on all aspects including targets and achievements of various schemes to ensure its proper implementation. Chief Minister was briefed by officials about the progress of the execution of schemes covered under the Bihar Vikas Mission.
