In Pakistan. The long-march of the country’s former Prime Minister, Imran Khan’s party, PTI, stopped after reaching the army headquarters at Rawalpindi, and the supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) broke the barricades to enter Rawalpindi, despite the fact that 20 thousand policemen, rangers, and other soldiers were deployed in the city. And despite not being completely fit, Imran Khan reached Rawalpindi himself.

Khan, addressing the long-march, said that they will not remain a part of the current system, and have decided to move out of the corrupt system. He mentioned that he will meet with his chief ministers and his parliamentary group, and will soon announce when his party will quit the assemblies. The announcements of the end of the long-march and the PTI resigning from the assemblies by Imran Khan have come two days after Lt. General Aseem Muneer becoming the new army chief.

Following the suspension of the long march by Khan, it is now being believed that the elections in Pakistan will take place 9 months later, that is, at the scheduled time.

On the other hand, Pakistan Home Minister, Rana Sanaullah, has claimed that the PTI will not be able to break down the Punjab assembly, as a no-confidence motion was about to come. Sanaullah added that once such a demand is raised, the ruling party does not have this right.
