The electricity crisis in Britain has exacerbated, because of which, one out of every four people is worried about staying protected from the cold weather. Many people are finding out new ways to get their electricity bills cut down, and 27% of the people are going to sleep earlier than their scheduled time of going to bed. As per the recent data from the Office of National Statistics (ONS), 23% people are struggling to keep their houses warm during winters, 63% are reducing their use of electricity and gas, and 96% of the people are using heating devices like blowers and heaters only when required.

When the people were asked as to what they were doing in order to keep themselves warm in the winters, 82% of them said that they are collecting more of clothes and blankets and are using them, and 46% are warming up only those rooms with a heating device in which they stay. 31% are using microwave heaters and hot-water bottles.

In this survey of 4962 homes in Britain, it has been revealed that people are cutting down on daily needs because of the hike in electricity and food prices. According to ONS numbers, inflation in November was 10.7%, which was a little less than 11.1% in October, but is still over the 2% mark set by the Bank of England. 34% people stated that this is adversely affecting their health.
