In the wake of the rapidly increasing population in Japan, the Japanese government is offering 6 lakh 36 thousand rupees per child in order for them to leave Tokyo and other metropolitan cities and settle in the rural areas. The Japanese government has said that if young parents leave Tokyo and settle somewhere else, they will be provided with other facilities as well. The government is hopeful that by 2027, 10 thousand people will move to the rural areas from Tokyo.

As a matter of fact, some countries of the world are distressed because of the rapidly increasing population, including India, China, and Japan. From India’s capital Delhi, Beijing, to Tokyo, the population of the people is augmenting at a rapid pace. And in order to reduce this increasing population, the Japanese government has turned to this interesting and unusual measure. As per a report, Tokyo is the world’s largest city, whose population is around 3.8 crores. And as per government data, a quick change in Japan’s population can now be witnessed.

The number of children is reducing fast and that of people aged above 65 is climbing up, and even after a number of measures adopted by the government, the number of children is not moving up. Now, people are being attracted towards the life in the empty towns and a rural lifestyle. Those who are leaving the cities are also being provided with economic assistance in order to establish a living. Despite this, only 2400 people opted for this scheme in the year 2021, which is only 0.006% of Tokyo’s population.
