Unseasonal rains damage Rabbi crops and orchids

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Unseasonal rains coupled with lighting and hailstorm lashed different parts of Marathwada and other parts of the state for the second consecutive day disrupting public life and damaging harvesting Rabbi crops, Orchid and Mango gardens.

Maharashtra state cabinet agricultural minister Abdul Sattar has directed the revenue department to conduct panchnama of crop damage due to unseasonal rains.

In Jalna and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar districts of Marathwada, unseasonal rains hit the farmers as harvesting of crops was hampered.

In some areas it is still raining, people’s life has been disrupted.

In Jalna district, Bhokardan, Badnapur, Mantha and some parts of Jalna taluka received light to moderate rain coupled with lightning. Due to this, wheat, gram, onion seed crops were damaged.

As rain is predicted in the district till tomorrow, the farmers are busy harvesting wheat.

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city and the adjoining areas received heavy rain in the middle of the night.

There were light streams of rain in the city till this morning. There is a report that a cow died due to lightning in Adgaon in the taluka.

In the district yesterday, it rained in Phulumbri, Khultabad, Yogyav, Sillod talukas.

Traffic on Nagad-Banoti road was disrupted for some time due to uprooted trees in Kannada taluk.

Report from Nanded district stated that moderate rainfall occured in the middle of the night.

Meanwhile many parts of Mumbai, Palghar district also received rain, while Dhananinagar area of ​​Boisar received light hail for some time.

Several districts including Nashik, Dhule, Nandurbar and Palghar received rain yesterday.

A huge hailstorm occurred in Sakri taluka in Dhule district.

About 2600 hectares of land in 191 villages in Nashik district has been affected.

Meanwhile, in the next two days, there is a chance of rain at isolated places in the entire state, the Pune Observatory has predicted the possibility of hail at isolated places in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha.
