India has outright rejected China renaming 11 places in Arunachal Pradesh. On Tuesday, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi, said that the reality does not change by changing names, and Arunachal was, is, and will always be an integral part of India.

In the meanwhile, showing its diplomatic aggression, China has asked all the Indian journalists, who have been reporting from Beijing for India, to leave the country. There were 4 Indian journalists there, out of whom 2 were in India on vacation. They have been asked to not return to Beijing. While the 2 others who are still working there have been asked to leave. As per diplomatic sources, China has taken this step against Chinese journalists finding it difficult to get an Indian visa.

On Thursday, Bagchi stated that India is in touch with China regarding the suspension of the 2 journalists who are currently in India but report from Beijing, and hoped that China will facilitate their continued presence and reporting from China.

China is under panic after G20 meetings took place in Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh. After Bagchi’s statement, Chinese External Affairs Spokesperson, Mao Ning has claimed that ‘Zangnan’, which is the Chinese name for Arunachal Pradesh, is a part of China.
