Covid-19: Maha records 1115 fresh cases and 9 deaths

Mumbai: Maharashtra reported a huge spike in the number of new cases of Covid-19 and related fatalities during the past 24 hours as 1115 fresh cases and nine virus related deaths were reported across in the state, said the health bulletin on Thursday.

With the addition of these cases the total numbers of Covid positive cases went up to 81,52,291 and death toll climbed to 1,48,470.

Out of 1115 positive cases, the entire Mumbai circle, including neighbouring Thane, Panvel, and Palghar districts accounted for 590 cases and five deaths. Pune Circle reported 190 new cases and three deaths while Nagpur reported 174 new infections.

Meanwhile 560 patients recovered from coronavirus infection during the past 24 hours and the count of recoveries in the state reached 79,98,400.

At present 5,421 patients are being treated in the state, added the bulletin.
