Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot inaugurates ‘Mehengai Rahat Camp’ in Jaipur

On Monday, Rajasthan Chief Minister inaugurated the first ‘Mehengai Rahat Camp’ or inflation-relief camp in the Mahapura village of Sanganer in Jaipur district. In the coming times, a total of 2700 such camps will be established by the Rajasthan government. Taking to Twitter, Gehlot said, “Defeating inflation begins from today! Inaugurated the country’s first dearness relief camp at Mahapura in Jaipur”.

He further added, “We are serious about the sufferings of the people in this difficult period of inflation. Inflation relief camps will give relief to the people and instil new hope of progress in their lives”.

In these camps, people need to get their names registered to get the benefits of 10 schemes, which include the gas cylinder scheme, the free electricity scheme for both households and farmers, the free food scheme, the urban employment guarantee scheme, the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance scheme, NREGA, Kamdhenu Bima Yojana, and the Chiranjeevi accidental insurance scheme. Registration in these camps will be absolutely free as per the government of Rajasthan.

These camps are to remain open from Monday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 6 PM.

The Rajasthan state government has also increased the health insurance scheme cover to 25 lakhs and the accidental scheme cover has been raised to 10 lakhs. The government is also providing 76 lakh families gas cylinders for 500 rupees, and under the free electricity scheme, 100 units of electricity will be provided to households for free every month, and farmers can claim up to 2000 units of free electricity. A free ration scheme is also being run by the Rajasthan government.
