Bengaluru: Yet again the roadshow of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the city has been changed for the second time by the BJP.

The 26-km-long roadshow on Sunday has been shifted to Saturday given the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examinations at 2 pm on Sunday.

“We informed the Prime Minister about the exams on May 7. As you know, he does charcha with students and cares about their education and future. He told us not one student should face difficulty because of the roadshow.

“The approximately 10-km roadshow that was scheduled for May 6, will now be held on May 7. On May 6, the approximately 26-km roadshow will be held. We have kept the shorter roadshow on Sunday as it can be finished early,” BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje told reporters here.

The roadshow on Saturday will be held between 10 am and 1.30 pm, and on Sunday it will be held from 10 am to 11.30 am, she said.

The police have been directed to drop the students at their respective centre if they show their hall tickets, Karandlaje said.

Tomorrow’s roadshow will cover Bangalore South, Bommanahalli, Jayanagar, Padmanabha Nagar, Basavanagudi, Chickpet, Chamarajpet, Gandhi Nagar, Mahalakshmi Layout, Vijaya Nagar, Govindraj Nagar, Rajaji Nagar and Malleshwaram assembly constituencies.

Sunday’s roadshow will be held in Mahadevapura, KR Puram, CV Raman Nagar, Shivajinagar and Shanti Nagar Assembly constituencies.
