WB completed Measles-Rubella Vaccination campaign: Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said the state has completed the Measles-Rubella Vaccination campaign for children aged 9 months to 15 years as the total of 2.23 crore children successfully vaccinated which is 96 per cent of the state target and 22 per cent of the state population.

The vaccination campaign began on January 9 and concluded on March 31, 2023.

” Total 2.23 Crore children successfully vaccinated which is 96 pc of the state target and 22 pc of the state population as the 93 pc children found vaccinated,” she said in her Twitter post.

Sharing the information, she said ” the Speed of vaccination in the state is one of the fastest in the country with 1 Crore vaccinated in 10 days, 2 crore in 30 days and 95 pc in 40 days.”

” There have been several innovations including in data management, and the case study of successful campaign will be presented tomorrow at an international conference in New Delhi in presence of national and international experts including those from WHO & UNICEF HQ,” she added.

” Kudos to my health colleagues,” she concluded.
