Two persons apprehended in DU’s South campus incident

New Delhi: Two persons were apprehended in connection with a Delhi University student’s alleged stabbed to death case in South Campus, a senior police official said on Monday.

The apprehended persons have been identified as Rahul (19), a student of BA Programme first year whose father is having bread cheese shop on rent in Delhi’s Bindapur and Haroon (19) who is a friend of Rahul. He is a school dropout and works in a private factory, police said.

The police said two more persons have been identified who were allegedly involved in this incident. The investigation is underway.

On Sunday, a student of School of Open Learning in Delhi University’s South Campus was allegedly stabbed to death during an altercation, police earlier said.

According to the police, the victim, Nikhil Chauhan (19), a student of BA (H) Political Science first year School of Open learning, and the accused came to the college to attend classes.

On some issue, the accused along with three associates met Nikhil outside the College gate and allegedly stabbed on his chest, a senior police official earlier said.
