New Delhi: Over 100 start-ups would take part in the ‘Parivartan’ summit, slated to bring together the entire Indian climate tech ecosystem under one roof here on Tuesday, officials said on Monday.

Organised by The Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), in collaboration with the Centre for Global Affairs and Public Policy (GCAPP), the one-day event features a diverse group of experts from India and abroad driving the just and equitable transition narrative.

Over 100 startups, 50 speakers, 20 investors, and 250 attendees have already confirmed for the summit, the orgnisers said in a media statement.

The deliberations at the India Habitat Centre would bring out the green growth of Indian Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and focus on positioning the country as a global exemplar and a manufacturing hub with sustainable supply chains.

The participants would also dwell on ways of creating an enabling ecosystem comprising policy framework, access to affordable green finance, and availability of innovative technology, with a cross-cutting emphasis on gender equity across all dimensions.

The summit would feature three super tracks: Circular Economy, Decarbonisation, and Tech Innovations. The sessions under these tracks would explore resource efficiency, clean energy, e-mobility, digitisation, automation, energy storage, market-based mechanisms, and greenhouse gas management.

The Parivartan summit is set to advance several objectives, including strengthening the connection between the climate-smart technologies and sustainability practice in industries.

Experts from public policy and manufacturing would hold interactive sessions on facilitating international clean tech transfer, while clean tech innovators and investors would hold forth on various sides of creating networking opportunities. Representatives from start-up companies would pitch their ideas while offering a platform for co-partners to showcase their expertise to a global audience.
