Hyderabad: In response to the recent statement made by the president of the Congress party, denying the necessity of free electricity in the state, the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) have urged widespread protests across Telangana on Tuesday and Wednesday, condemning the Congress party’s anti-agricultural ideology.

In a statement released on Tuesday, he called upon villagers to burn effigies of the Congress party as a symbolic act, highlighting their opposition to the recent announcement that Telangana farmers do not require 24-hour free electricity.

He stated that the Congress Party’s decision to cancel the free electricity programme demonstrates their historical negligence towards farmers, as they have previously failed to provide adequate electricity support.

KTR asserted that the Congress party has once again showcased their anti-farmer policies, emphasising the need for the people and farmers of Telangana to vehemently oppose this stance.
