Stalin lauds Kejriwal’s support for voting against GNCTD Bill

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President  M.K.Stalin on Wednesday expressed gratitude to his Delhi counterpart and Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal for his party’s support in rejecting and voting aginst the GNCTD (Amendment) Bill, 2023.

In the Parliament on Monday, the AAP voted against the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023, that gives the central government control over bureaucrats in the Delhi government when it was passed in the Rajya Sabha.

In a Demi-Official letter to Mr Arvind Kejriwal, Mr Stalin expressed his gratitude on behalf of the two crore people of Delhi for his party’s support in rejecting and voting against the GNCTD (Amendment) Bill, 2023.

He said “I would like to place on record the heartfelt appreciation for championing the rights of the people of Delhi inside as well as outside the Parliament.”

“I am certain that your unflinching loyalty towards the principles of our Constitution will be remembered for decades”, he added.

“We look forward to your continued support in the fight against forces that are undermining the Constitution”, Mr Stalin said.
